Bold & Colourful Wall Art
Bold, colourful original wall art painted by hand to order on canvas — never printed. Free insured shipping Australia-wide and 30-day free returns.
Some rooms need a quiet painting. This collection is for the rooms that need the opposite. Saturated blues, warm ochres, deep greens and clean whites, applied thickly and confidently — art that sets the colour story of a room rather than agreeing with one already there.
Browse 171 original colourful canvases, each painted by hand to order. Nothing is printed, so the colour you receive was mixed and laid down for your piece specifically. Free insured shipping Australia-wide, a photo preview before it leaves the studio, and 30 days to return it.

Working with a bold painting
A strong painting is easiest to live with when it is the only strong thing on the wall. Give it space — a clear expanse of plain wall does more for a colourful canvas than any frame will. Then pull one colour out of the painting and repeat it small and low in the room: a cushion, a ceramic, the spines of books on a shelf. That single echo makes a bold piece read as deliberate rather than dropped in. Resist matching more than one colour; the painting should stay the loudest thing in the conversation.
Where colour works hardest
Entryways, hallways and stairwells are the most under-used walls in an Australian home and the most forgiving place for a strong painting, because nobody sits in them long enough to tire of it. Dining rooms take colour well under warm evening light. Home offices benefit from something with energy in the field of view. The one room to think twice about is a bedroom you want restful — for those, wabi-sabi and minimalist wall art do the job better.
Made to order, one of one
Your painting is created after you order it, photographed for your approval, and shipped ready to hang, insured door to door. Because each is mixed and painted by hand, expect the character of the colour to match what you see and the exact brushwork to be unique to your piece.
Frequently asked questions
Will the colours look the same as the photos on screen?
Screens vary, so treat the photographs as a close guide rather than an exact match. Before your painting ships you receive a photo of the finished piece for approval, and returns are free for 30 days if the colour isn't right in your space.
Are these prints or original paintings?
Every piece is an original, painted by hand to order on canvas. We do not sell prints or reproductions.
How do I choose a colourful painting that suits my room?
Start from a colour already present in the room in a small way — a rug, a cushion, a timber tone — and choose a painting that contains it rather than one that matches your walls or sofa. Matching the largest surfaces tends to flatten a room; echoing a small one makes it look considered.
What size should I choose?
For above furniture, around two-thirds the width of the piece below it. On a large empty wall, go bigger than feels comfortable — undersized art on a big wall is the most common mistake. Every size available is listed on the product page.
